| NOTE:
We at Hatton have seen and received complaints about engines that are Tier II, and common rail on Northern Lights generator sets 65KW to 100KW. Complaints range from short injector life, exhaust manifold slobbering, exhaust contaminates outside of boat and so on.
We seem to have come up with a fix that has a major effect on the problem.
We custom build exhaust elbows out of stainless steel that bolt right in. This elbow in all cases reduces exhaust back pressure on the turbo. As much as 50%. Appears engines at any load range are touchy to back pressure. At this time only two large yachts have recieved these elbows with very positive results. We will know how positive after they have run all summer and will report. These elbows run about $1,000.00 each and are show quality.
Also Racor crankcase breathers are a must period.
This report applies to 50 and 60 hertz units.
